With "Rock the Kasbah" rocking on the sound system during a recent fashion week after party, Le Titty Twister secured its status as the Paris it-bar for the model and designer party set. Like a living swathe of film from a Quentin Tarantino movie, creator Cyril Peret Paglinghi narrates an underworld dance bar that lures the cooler characters of the Paris nightlife scene to this underground boite that wouldn't feel out of place in NYC's Lower East Side. A double staircase lined in abstract pendants and entrance marquee leads to an underground space with DJ alcove and prominent tequila bar with a deep Mexican accent. Exposed rafter ceiling illuminated in amber lights contrasts raw brick walls and Emin-esque neon art with in your face lines like "WTF" and "It Wasn't Me."
Tips
Work the door with ease before midnight on weekends, but after 1am expect a line on most nights with a doorman that’s not easily amused.
Last Word
A popular romp for the Paris it-crowd and inevitable fashion week after party staple, Titty Twister manages underground cool with a crowd that couldn’t be chicer come 2am.
